An Amphibious Caravan
A futuristic idea dreamt up by a company in Norfolk in the 1970s, only about 30 were ever made. It combines the hull of a boat with the inside of a caravan.
The example in my ownership needed considerable overhaul, so I am bringing it into the 21st Century with a view to undertake challenges and raise money for charity in the process.
The vision
To reimagine the CaraCruiser as if it was built today. Modern materials, the latest electronics and gadgets, but still built on a modest budget.
Once it is built, the idea is to test it’s new capabilities, visiting the best of the UK coastline, and inland waters - and maybe even the English Channel…
